As you can see in the second image, this ledge is also below me. As you can see in the first image I needed to up to that ledge. Here’s a good example of the infinitely looping world. You can also use the above method to help you boost blocks higher up than they could go, therefore allowing you to align a red block with a red button if that makes sense. It wouldn’t be a puzzle game if this was simple all the way through, right? The puzzle above is most definitely a simple puzzle. The puzzles tend to get harder as you go along, of course. I personally feel this game would be pure class on Oculus Quest or other VR platforms. It is a bit confusing at first but it is very, very clever. Trust me when I say you get used to this mechanic. I am on the floor that was a wall whilst looking at a wall that was a floor… Once you get the hang of this mechanic in Manifold Garden the game soon becomes a lot more friendly to your brain. Once you’ve done that, you can then move back to the old floor that is now a wall, and press R2 to then turn that back into your floor… Confusing? It is. That new floor can now be walked on and you can find the corresponding box to pop on the button, to open the door on our old floor. No problem, go up to that wall and press R2. You have to solve puzzles as you’re progressing through the world, using the infinite loop to get to other areas that you would not normally be able to reach, it’s very clever how it’s been done.įor example, imagine you have a button that needs something left on it to keep it pressed. This world is also an infinite world that loops, use this to your advantage. Your main objective in Manifold Garden is to cleanse the world of darkness. If you persevere with the game, it isn’t too hard to learn the basics yourself. Gameplayįirst off, when Manifold Garden starts, you’ll not really have any clue what is going on or what to do.
